healthy and tasty, herbs and vegetables

It’s difficult to make a pick. It’s such a diverse selection…!
Hvasser Asparagus is located by the rough coast at the south of Vestfold. The company won Menys Matskattpris in 2018 and was nominated for the Gründerprisen in 2020. It is incredible that these tasty delicacies thrive right next to Færder lighthouse. In Åsgårdstrand, a little further north, we find the charming little horticulture Skjærgården Gartneri which is Norway's largest producer of spring onions. Herbs are also grown here. A green approach to production keeps the soil fertile.

local brew tiny breweries

Vestfold offers spectacular flavours, also when it comes to refreshing beveridges. Buggegården brews its own beer with ingredients grown on the farm. Try beer tasting with tapas or Buggegården's famous burger buffet. Færder Mikrobryggeri in Tønsberg aspires to create a beer that makes you think of nature, sun and the summer, waves and the ocean. Fjordfolk are located in Sandefjord with an impressive production of beer and cider. Several of these have received international awards.

delicacies from the sea and the woods

Vestfold offers exotic flavours too. Norwegian Shores on Nøtterøy specializes in oysters, sea urchins and wild eels. Their products have been awarded with international fame. Hjortegården in Stokke, located between Sandefjord and Tønsberg, is breeding red deer. Here the animals live in their natural habitat with plenty of space. The farm itself has been in the family for over 300 years. You may relax in the beautiful garden and watch the animals grazing in the distance.
